GUWAHATI, Jan 21 - A solar power plant of 80kWp was commissioned and formally inaugurated by Chief General Manager, BSNL Assam Circle Sandeep Govil today at TE Building, Panbazar here in the presence of Senior Chief Engineer Dhananjay Kumar and others.
�Solar power generation plants are the future of environment-friendly buildings. Not only do they save expenditure to BSNL, but also feed back the excess generation to the grid and help in maintaining a pollution-free atmosphere. BSNL is dedicated towards installation of more and more solar plants in buildings across Assam Circle,� Govil said in his speech.
Dhananjay Kumar said nine more such buildings are in the process of being provided solar power plants with a tentative aggregate capacity of 543 kWp. He also informed that the newly-installed solar power plant at Panbazar would give pollution-free power and tentatively save up to 58 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.
