SHILLONG, July 2 - The BSNL North East-I Circle today termed reports of close-down of operations as false and baseless.
B Chandra Sekhar, Chief General Manager of NE-I Circle, has urged BSNL customers here to ignore such misleading reports.
�Certain reports in some sections of the media are conveying an impression that the BSNL may have closed down. These reports are baseless and false,� the official said.
It said the news reports have unnecessarily tried to focus on the closure of the BSNL despite the Government�s assurance of reviving it. �This is being done with the intention of making the BSNL customers migrate to other competitors by vested interests,� marketing officials of the PSU said.
