GUWAHATI, Dec 16 - The 15-day long �Swachhta Pakhwada�, organised by the BSF�s Guwahati Frontier, concluded here yesterday.
The events were reviewed by Frontier IG Rakesh Aggarwal. He emphasised on working towards making �Swachhta� a �Jan Andolan� so that it inculcates behavioural and attitudinal changes.
Some of the specific activities that were taken up during the fortnight were cleaning of Patgaon, Guwahati BSF camp and its surrounding areas, cleaning of Coochbehar Railway Station, etc. Students and staff also took part in the exercise. A Swachh Bharat awareness session on personal hygiene and environmental hygiene were also organised.
Activities like discussion, seminars, rallies and display of banners and posters were organised in the nearby villages and BSF camps.
