BSF, NF Rly observe Anti-Terrorism Day

GUWAHATI, May 21 - Troops of the Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) today observed Anti-Terrorism Day at Frontier headquarters in Patgaon, Guwahati, as well as Sector headquarters and battalions under the Guwahati Frontier, reiterating their resolve to fight against anti-national elements.

BSF DIG DK Tripathi administered the pledge to all officers and jawans on the occasion to continue their fight against terrorism. Personnel deployed along the international border under the Guwahati Frontier also observed anti-terrorism day on this day. He emphasised that it is a bounden duty of the force personnel to fight anti-national elements, violence and terrorism to maintain unity and integrity of the nation.

The day is observed to generate awareness about the danger of terrorism and violence and its effect on the people, society and the country as a whole.

At NF Railway: Officers and staff of Northeast Frontier Railway Construction Organisation observed Anti-Terrorism Day today at Maligaon by taking a pledge for working to promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all human beings by opposing terrorism and violence in society.

The pledge was administered by NK Prasad, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway Construction Organisation.
