GUWAHATI, Dec 22 - The 51st Director General level talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) commenced here today.
It is for the first time that the bi-annual Director General level talks between the two border guarding forces is taking place in Assam.
The delegation of BGB is being led by the Director General of BGB Major General Shafeenul Islam, while the BSF delegation is headed by the Director General of BSF Rakesh Asthana.
The talks will conclude on December 26.
During the talks, the two sides will discuss various aspects and issues related to border management. They will also deliberate upon steps being taken to strengthen the security grid in a cohesive manner for betterment of people living on the borders of both the countries.
The meeting will conclude with the signing of Joint Record of Discussions by the Directors� General of BSF and BGB.
