BSF-BGB talks

SHILLONG, Oct 15 - The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a meeting today at Tamabil, Bangladesh, to discuss border-related issues.

The five-member BSF delegation was led by Deputy Inspector General, UK Nayal, and the Bangladesh side was led by Lt Col Abdul Kader Md Ashraf Ali Mamun from BGB�s North-East Region, Sarail.

Both sides agreed to prevent transborder crimes and pursue pending development works to strengthen the existing relations between the two countries. During the meeting, issues like smuggling of cattle, drugs and narcotics, fake currency and other contraband items were discussed. The construction of the integrated check post at Dawki also figured in the discussion.
