British Council�s educational seminar today

GUWAHATI, March 10 � As part of the Great Britain campaign, the British Council today announced the Great UK Education Seminars in Guwahati, which will be held tomorrow at the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Uzan Bazar here.

The seminars will cover various aspects of studying and living in the UK and provide information on the scholarships available for Indian students. This will also give aspiring students an opportunity to interact with the alumni, who will share their experiences of studying and living in the UK.

In addition, the UK government will quadruple its funding for Chevening scholarships for Indian students over the next two years, making India the largest recipient in the world. Through this, it will provide fully-funded, world-class education for over 130 Indian scholars, said a statement.

At the daylong seminar here, interested individuals will be able to speak to representatives of the British Council and learn more about their areas of interest. There�s never been a better time to study in the UK � a short film that captures the experiences of UK education in the voices of students currently studying in the UK � will also be screened on the occasion.
