ITANAGAR, Oct 14 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday inaugurated a key bridge in Itanagar, which would help ease traffic congestion on NH-415 that passes through the heart of the state capital.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the 16 metre RCC bridge over the Yagamso stream at F-Sector in the presence of local MLA Techi Kaso and state government officials. Khandu said the bridge comes as a huge relief in easing traffic congestion in the state capital. Traffic congestion will be eased on NH-415 between RK Mission Hospital point and Bank Tinali.

He appreciated the state Public Works Department for completing the project two months ahead of the target date of completion.

The Chief Minister said that in the coming days, an alternate route through ESS Sector will also be opened by March 2020 to ease traffic congestion. Traffic along that route has been shut due to landslide and work has already started, he said.

Khandu, who also holds the PWD portfolio, also informed that Rs 100 crore has been kept for improvement of all sectoral roads in the state capital region. He said all internal roads in administrative headquarters across the state will also be improved within the next five years.
