GUWAHATI, May 26 - A breast cancer awareness camp was organised by Palon, a welfare trust, at Basistha Cluster in the city on Wednesday.
The camp was attended by 120 women from the adjoining areas and villages. The objective of the camp was to create awareness, prevention and early detection of breast cancer among females.
Self-examination of breast was taught to the attendees, while emphasising on regular annual mammography for female above 40 years.
Palon will covering 15 villages around Guwahati for breast cancer awareness in the coming month, a press release said.
