NAGAON, March 2 - Like the previous years, the management committee of Bratadrova Than has geared up to celebrate the Doul Utsava with a five-day-long variety of programmes from March 8 at the birthplace of Srimanta Sankaradeva.
As per information received, the management committee as well as the district administration have made all-round preparations including the road map, traffic control, security, transportation etc., for successful completion of the event.
As part of these preparations, under the presidentship of the Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia, a meeting was held today at the DC�s conference hall where along with the officials of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Health, Public Works department, Police administration, Health services, circle officer of Dhing circle office and members of the Bratadrova Than Management Committee were present.
In the presence of all, Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia reviewed all corners to make the celebration a successful one in all aspects. Besides, for sufficient drinking water supply and transportation to and from Nagaon and Bratadrova Than, Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia instructed the departments concerned to take steps at the earliest.
