Brain Jam quiz wows audience

GUWAHATI, Nov 1 � The Servo Brain Jam Open Quiz 2010, organised by Priya Communications, was held on Sunday evening amidst fun and entertainment at Pragjyoti Machkhowa here.

The evening started with ace quiz master Barry O�Brien leading all those present to the heroes who fought to beat the odds and emerged successful� the theme of the quiz.

In tune with the theme, forest guard Satya Pegu, who lost motor movement of his left hand and a couple of fingers following a tiger attack at Kaziranga, and father of quizzing in the Northeast Prof Dilip Kumar Baruah were felicitated on the occasion.

The Q-Factor team comprising Maharnav Gogoi and Parikshit Pegu won the first prize, a package trip to Singapore sponsored by Sona bath fittings, while Geeks Inc, comprising two youngsters, were narrowly left behind. The third place was a tie between Genetically Jammed and A-team.

Earlier, social activist, singer, lyricist Sumit Bose performed songs close to his heart. Based on themes and issues that touch the soul and for the cause of the people, his solo performance with guitar and month organ was applauded by all.
