GUWAHATI, Feb 11 � The three-day Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2015 has been scheduled from April 24 next at Pragjyoti ITA, Machkhowa here, the organisers informed in a press release.

The film festival is dedicated to the film fraternity of the northeast region and aims to build a platform for the new as well as professional filmmakers to come together and rediscover different aspects of movie making.

The festival includes screening of some of the best movies, documentaries and short-films of the region as well as of the nation along with workshops by renowned and acclaimed directors. This year the festival will be organised along with the Brahmaputra Valley Short Film contest.

Some of the best directors from the Indian film fraternity will be invited to be part of this initiative. The festival will also screen some of the finest movies from the northeast as well as the rest of India.
