Brahmaputra flowing above danger level

GUWAHATI, Sept 12 � Brahmaputra river is flowing above the danger level at all its gauge stations except Goalpara. Those stations flowing above danger level include Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Nemjaigaon, Tezpur and Dhubri.

The river is maintaining a falling trend at Dibrugarh and Nemjaigaon (Jorhat), while a rising trend is being recorded at Tezpur, Guwahati, Goalpara and Dhubri, official sources said.

In Guwahati, the river is maintaining a rising trend since September 7.

The water level at Dibrugarh is flowing at 105.67m against the danger level of 104.24 m, while water levels at Nemajigaon, Tezpur, Guwahati, Goalpara and Dhubri is flowing at 86.02 m, 65.69m, 49.83m, 36.27m and 28.99m against the respective danger level of 85.64m, 65.23m, 49.68m, 36.26m and 28.50m.
