NEW DELHI, Feb 9 � A crucial meeting on revamping the Brahmaputra Board has been convened at Shillong on February 11, official sources here announced.

Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti will be chairing the Seventh High Powered Review (Brahmaputra and Barak) Board meeting at Shillong on Wednesday, sources said.

The meeting will be attended by the Water Resources Ministers and senior officers from the seven North-Eastern states, Sikkim and West Bengal, besides Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma. The Union Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation Minister has already written a letter to all States concerned in this regard.
