BPCL clinch PSPB volleyball crown

GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - BPCL emerged champions in the 40th PSPB Inter Unit Volleyball Tournament.

In the final played at the NRL Township Kunjabon last evening, BPCL handed a 3-0 drubbing to ONGC. Earlier, hosts NRL bagged third position defeating OIL 3-0 in the play-off match. OIL got the fourth place.

Asian Games 2018 player Ajit Lal from BPCL was adjudged the best player of the tournament while Basab Borah from NRL was declared the most promising player.

The closing function of the tournament was attended by Director (Finance) NRL Indranil Mittra; Joint secretary, PSPB KL Tejwani; Sr CGM (HR & Legal) NRL D Choudhury; Secretary of the Assam Volleyball Association (AVA) Amal Baruah along with other officials from AVA.
