NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Oct 4 - The Hindu Yuva Chatra Parichad (HYCP) Asom has demanded the boycott of Chinese-made goods and products by the consumers here.

This was stated by its president Balen Baishya and secretary Deepankar Gohain at a press meet in North Lakhimpur Press Club recently.

Speaking to the mediapersons, the HYCP leaders said that China had been supportive of Pakistan, which had been engaged in a proxy war with India. Chinas business expansion in India had brought cheaper goods here for which New Delhi had not taken any steps, the leaders said. Therefore, the HYCP leaders urged the public to boycott Chinese goods henceforth.

The HYCP leaders also expressed their resentment over alleged conversion drives carried out by the Church in Assam and called for Ghar Wapsi of converted persons to Hinduism.
