By Correspondent

JORABAT, Sept 12 - A tense situation prevailed in Dimoria area when a huge quantity of stone boulders, piled up along the Digaru river, slid down and blocked a major part of the river following the earthquake this morning.

According to local residents, the boulders slid down into the river in the Sarutari area under the impact of the earthquake.

They alleged that the boulders were piled up on the river bank illegally by a construction company. The boulders were extracted during the construction of the railway line in the Dimoria area.

A large part of the river was filled up with the boulders, leading to diversion of the river route. This has caused apprehension among the local people there.
