SILCHAR, Sept 30 - A book authored by senior sports journalists of Barak Valley Dwijendralal Das and Uttam Choudhury was released here on Monday.

In a ceremony held at the complex of Itkhola Athletics Club, Silchar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul ceremonially released the book titled Saakshate Kotha, a collection of interviews of 37 noteworthy sports personalities of southern Assam taken by the authors at various points in time of their careers so far. The ceremony was presided over by Silchar DSA president Babul Hore.

Expressing joy on the occasion, Dilip Kumar Paul said that the compilation done by Dwijendralal Das and Uttam Choudhury shall remain as a valuable document for the readers and enthusiasts of sports in the region. He admitted that as a politician he has been kept away from the love of reading and urged the scribes and sports personalities to pen their activities for generations to read and learn about.
