GUWAHATI, Jan 9 - A book titled Jugaxandhit America, authored by Dr Arupjyoti Choudhury and published by Purbanchal Prakash, was released at the Guwahati Press Club here today.
The ceremony was presided over by educationist Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury.
Dr Hitesh Deka, Vice Chancellor of the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University was the chief guest. Senior journalist Prasanta Rajguru attended the function as the guest of honour.
Rajguru, in his address, said that Jugaxandhit America is more than a travelogue, as it � based on the author�s personal experience � provides insights into the socio-economic and political scenario of the United States and its significant status in the contemporary world.
�This book is an analytical reflection of the cultural mindset of the Americans as the supreme power on Earth. A new horizon in Assamese travel literature has emerged with the arrival Jugaxandhit America,� he said.
