GUWAHATI, June 4 - The first Assamese poem book written by Devajit Bhuyan without any aa-kar e-kar ou-kar, etc., written in the style of Korotolo Komolo of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev, was released at Guwahati Press Club today by writer Ismail Hussain.

The book, titled Korotolo Komolo, dedicated to Srimanta Sankardev contains 120 poems representing the 120 years of mortal life of the great 15th-century saint.

Kaveri Kachari Rajkonwar, Dr Anup Kumar Gogoi, Professor, IIT Guwahati, and Dr Buljit Borgohain, Professor GIMT, were also present at the inaugural programme.

All the speakers praised the effort of Bhuyan, an Electrical Engineer by profession and a product of Assam Engineering College, to take ideals of Sankardev to the common people through his unique effort.
