BONGAIGAON, Nov 8 - Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR), which is the ninth refinery of Indian Oil located at Dhaligaon in Chirang district, has contributed significantly to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund for development of Bongaigaon district headquarter.
The refinery granted an amount of Rs 26 lakh for a drinking water project at Garopara under Bongaigaon Revenue Circle, Rs 80.87 lakh for the construction of a drain in Barpathar area, Rs19 lakh for sound system and furniture to Birjhora Public Library, Rs 40 lakh for the construction of toilet block to Birjhora Girls� High School, Rs.25 lakh to Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyalaya for the construction of library building, Rs 38.1 lakh to Rabindra Bhawan Cultural Auditorium at Palpara and Rs 27 lakh to Bongaigaon administration for erecting additional 1,000 standalone solar street lights in areas under Bongaigaon Municipal jurisdiction.
In this regard, a MoU) was recently signed between the Refinery and local administration.
