MANGALDAI, April 6 - Bongaigaon were placed comfortably against Jorhat in their quarterfinal league match of the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament.

At the Mangaldai Stadium here today, Bongaigaon ensured a 19-run first innings lead after losing five wickets.

In reply to Jorhat�s first innings total of 122 in 47.3 overs, Bongaigaon were 151 for the loss of five wickets in 32 overs. Md Arif (40) was the lone Jorhat batsman who could counter Bongaigaon bowling.

For Bongaigaon, Parthajit Baishya and Sujay Tarafdar played a vital role by contributing unbeaten 62 and 30 respectively.
