Bongaigaon enter final

GUWAHATI, Feb 26 � With a 4-run first innings lead against Lakhimpur in the first semifinal of the Plate Group Nuruddin Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Championship, Bongaigaon entered the final as the three-day match ended in a draw at the Barsapara stadium here today.

Resuming at the overnight score of 5 for no loss, Bongaigaon ended the day with 197 for the loss of nine wickets.

Opener Anmol Prasad was their top scorer with 74 off 179 balls. He hit eight boundaries and two sixes in his responsible innings. Govinda Rajbongshi (37 off 141 balls) and Arindom Ghosh (31 off 79 balls) provided ample support in building the Bongaigaon innings. Left arm spinner Bikram Chetri was the leading wicket taker for Lakhimpur with four wickets.
