Body recovered

GUWAHATI, May 23 � The body of a newly-married woman, Dharitri Tamuli, was recovered from a pond of Nathkuchi (Tihu) in the afternoon of May 17, creating great sensation at Tihu and Sarthebari. Reports said that Purna Das (52), a grade IV employee of Basanti ME School, Nathkuchi got married to Dharitri Tamuli (32), daughter of Harish Tamuli of Sarthebari on May 11. On May 17 after the marital functions concluded, Purna Das brought his new bride to his Nathkuchi residence. But on May 17, the family members of Purna Das, fcould not find out the whereabouts of the bride. They found her at their backside pond. The police has arrested Purna Das and an investigation is on.
