DOOMDOOMA, Sept 10 - The body of Bhaskarjyoti Baruah alias Babu (26), the younger brother of journalist and secretary of Doomdooma Press Club Manoj Baruah, was recovered at Bebejia Ghat in the Dibru river on Wednesday.
Bhaskarjyoti had gone missing on September 4. On September 5, Bhaskarjyoti's father Apurba Baruah, a resident of Bezbaruah Sarani of Doomdooma, filed an FIR at the Doomdooma Police Station.
It is suspected that Bhaskarjyoti was murdered as there were several injury marks on his body.
After the body was identified by the family members, police sent it for post-mortem.
Late on Wednesday evening, Bhaskarjyoti was cremated at the Doomdooma Public Cremation Ground.
