Silchar, Feb 23: Two days after a student of class six drowned in the waters of river Barak at Badarpur, her body was spotted afloat. Police along with SDRF and Fire and Emergency response team recovered the body following which pal of gloom engulfed the vicinity.
According to police, the victim was a student of St Joseph School in Badarpur and had gone to take bath along with three other hostel mates on last Sunday. While three others were rescued, she went untraced. Police informed that the girl hails from Hailakandi district.
