TINSUKIA, July 29 - Host Bodousa Club edged past Gauhati Town Club (GTC) 1-0 in the opening match of the Bodousa Cup Football Tournament at the Tinsukia District Sports Association�s Katchujan Field here today.
The match winning goal was scored by Nripen Phukan two miniutes from the time.
Earlier, the 7th edition of the championship, organized by the Bodousa Sports Club in cooperation with Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Doomdooma Sports Association, Digboi Samannay Sangha and Namrup Town Club under the supervision of Assam Football Association (AFA), was inaugurated here by the AFA vice president Bolin Chetia and secretary Ankur Dutta in a colourful opening ceremony.
