MANGALDAI, Sept 22 - Barhungkha FC of Kokrajhar has moved into the next round of the 24th Bodoland Gallants Gold Cup Football Tournament organised jointly by the Dimakuchi Anchalik unit of ABSU and Dimakuchi Sports Association.
In the inaugural match played today at the Dimakuchi Mini Stadium in Udalguri district, the Kokrajhar outfit riding on a brace by their forward Dhrubajyoti Sarma (12th and 50th minute) got the better of Assam State Football Academy, Guwahati 2-1. After Barhungkha FC took a two-goal lead, Timothy Narazary reduced the margin in the 71st minute. The inaugural match was conducted by Buddha Basumatary as the referee while president of ABSU, Pramod Boro inaugurated the tournament.
