DIPHU, Oct 12 � Bodo frontal organisations comprising the Karbi Anlong district units of All Bodo Students� Union (ABSU), Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Ex-BLT Welfare Society, All Bodo Women�s Welfare Federation (ABWWF), Kachary Samaj, Dularai Boro Harimu Afat (DuBHA), Dularai Boro Abadari Afat (DuBA) and All Boro Employees� Federation( ABEF) hailed the historic Memorandum of Settlement(MoS) signed between the Centre and State Government and the two factions of the Dima Halam Daoga (DHD) on October 8 in New Delhi for the creation of the Dima Hasao Territorial Council (DHTC).
Anthony Basumatary, president, ABSU, Karbi Anglong district unit, said that if all the clauses of the MoS are implemented in letter and spirit, the settlement of such an accord would be a step forward for the prospects of an autonomous council of Dima Hasao district and its people.
�We hope all the indigenous tribes of the Dima Hasao autonomous district will accept the historic accord with an open mind and extend full cooperation for the complete implementation of all the clauses concerned of the MoS,� Basumatary added.
Meanwhile, the student leader exhorted all citizens of Dima Hasao district to work together in the greater interest of peace and development.
