Bodies of labourers cremated at Ginjia

BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 26 - The bodies of the five labourers who were buried alive at Itanagar on Sunday while a retaining wall came crashing down on a makeshift barrack they were in, were cremated on Monday evening at their parental village at Madur Ali under Ginjia Police Station in Biswanath district in the presence of hundreds of bereaved villagers.

Earlier, post mortem of the bodies of labourers, namely Papu Gourh, Babul Telenga, Rajen Telenga, Sukhdev Kanha (Kanwar) and Papu Katiya was performed at Behali under the supervision of the Ginjia police.

In the meantime, several local organisations have demanded compensation to the families of the ill-fated labourers.
