BONGAIGAON, Sept 20 - Police recovered bodies of a couple from a house at Ward Number-12 in Salbari area of Bongaigaon town at around 11.30 am on Wednesday.
The victims have been identified as Ganesh Barman (30) and his wife Mampi Barman (25). Ganesh, a resident of Haldibari in Bengal, was working as casual labour at Basanti Bakery in Salbari area for last 21 days and stayed with his wife, who was a resident of Gossaigaon, at a rented house at Ward Number-12.
When the main door of Ganesh�s rented house remained close till 10.30 am, the other tenants informed the house owner, Subash Roy. Roy rushed to the house and noticed couple�s bodies after he broke open the door. Soon after Roy informed the police about the incident. Later police reached to the spot and recovered the bodies.
