GUWAHATI, Nov 8 � Noted bodybuilder A Boby Singh was accorded a warm felicitation by Assam Bodybuilders and Fitness Association (ABFA) and 24 Fitness Gym in a function at the gym�s auditorium here today.
Earlier, Boby Singh inaugurated a well-equipped gym. He also enthralled the gathering flexing his muscles.
Boby recently won the title in the World Bodybuilding and Physic Sports Federation (WBPF) organised World Bodybuilding Championship at Varanasi recently in the 75kg weight category.
Speaking on the occasion, Boby said he is an employee of NF Railway and is settled in Assam although he is originally from Manipur. He desires to represent Assam in all the national and international events. As the game is very tough and needs costly diet, he seeks sponsorship from the State Government and other corporate houses.
ABFA secretary Bhabajyoti Goswami, who was honoured by WBPF at Varanasi, anchored the function where owner of the newly set up gym Dipak Das, Tridip Das, ABFA officials Ramen Das, AK Dutta, Kushal J Malakar, Ghana Gogoi were also present.
Boby has been selected to represent India in the Asian Beach Games to be held in Muskat.
