GUWAHATI, July 13 � BMBB Commerce College today defeated Guwahati College by 17 runs to lift the inter-college T20 Tournament for the Sultan Ahmed Trophy at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Batting first, BMBB Commerce College scored 100 for 7 in 20 overs. Chandan Kushwaha (23), Sunil Ranjan Gogoi (17) and Bikash Singh (15) were the main contributors for BMBB. In reply, Guwahati College were all out for 83 runs in 18.3 overs. Surendra Prasad picked up 4 wickets for 22 runs and Chanakya Sarma got 2 wickets for 10 runs.
Assam Cricket Association secretary Bikash Barua, GSA secretary Munin Nobis, Suren Ram Phookan, Jatin Bora and Umesh Sarma gave away the prizes in the closing function. The tournament was organised by the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre.
