GUWAHATI, April 11 - The newly formed Khalsa Blood Donors group yesterday officially started its drive to promote voluntary blood donation when two out of its 62 registered volunteers donated blood to two needy patients.
Jaswinder Singh and his son Gurminder came out to help two patients yesterday through blood donation.
�Though we have decided to start the drive from Baisakhi, the urgency of the patients made us start it from this morning. The request came to us through a WhatsApp group and our group members responded within 45 minutes of getting the request,� said PP Singh, chief coordinator of the group.
