DIMAPUR, June 1 � Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) imposed a total economic blockade on the Mao community within Southern Angami territory from 5 am today. The blobkade was enforced in protest against alleged claim by the Maos over the ancestral Kezoltsa area in Dz�kou valley. The blockade was peaceful till the time of filing of this report.
SAYO officials said total blockade against the Mao community would continue if the matter continues unresolved.
The orgaisation imposed total economic blockade today on learning that the Committee for Koziirii-Dzukou Land Boundary Resolution (CKDLBR) was to commence an economic blockade in Manipur effective midnight of June 1.
