Black Panthers clinch TT title

GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - Black Panthers emerged champions in the second edition of the Syeda Dania Taski Memorial Nagen Hazarika Premier League Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Nagen Hazarika Table Tennis Foundation (NHTTF) at its own complex here.

On the final day of the four-day single-leg round robin championship, Panthers collected 44 points from 15 matches to top the table. The Black Panthers team featured Agniv Bhaskar Gohain, Dipankar Guha, Angshuman Hazarika, Yashashree Kashyap, Alina Madhugalya and the owner of the team was Rajdeep Bhuyan.

Fearless Lions (comprising Bibek Rabha, Sunit Gogoi, Adhiraja Hazarika, Bagmita Borpatra Gohain, Mayrah Das, owner Hriday Jugal Das) and Howling Wolves (comprising Eleeko Sujalo Hazarika, Himangshu Deep Kalita, Meghna Rosel, Udipta Kr Dutta, Jyotishman Saikia, owner Amar J Das) took second and third position with 42 and 41 points respectively.

Altogether 16 teams took part in the championship and all the leading players of the State, including Priyanuj Bhattacharyya, current South East Asia champion in cadet group and some India ranking paddlers were seen in action.
