AMBASSA/UDAIPUR (Tripura), Jan 7 - BJP national president Amit Shah on Sunday hit the partys campaign trail in Tripura taking the electioneering process to a new height.
Shah, who arrived here this morning from Meghalaya, addressed two election rallies at Ambassa in Dhalai district and Udaipur in Gomati district launching the campaign for the ensuing battle.
Tripura, considered a Marxist bastion, will be on the path of development only if BJP is voted to power in the upcoming Assembly elections, said Shah.
The people of the State have given a lot of time 25 years to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to reverse the States fortune but he could not deliver be it in the field of employment or be it in basic infrastructure road, electricity and healthcare, he said.
Shah was addressing a mammoth election rally at KBI ground in Udaipur subdivision of Gomati district in presence of NEDA Chairman Himanta Biswa Sarma and State BJP president Biplab Deb.
What has the Left Front given to the people of the State? he asked. The State is having over seven lakh unemployed youths. Is electricity available in each village for 24 hours? Do farmers get minimum support price for their crops? Kuch nehin hein!.
Now it is inevitable the BJP will form a government in Tripura as the people are determined to uproot the Left Government in the coming elections, he said at another election rally at Kulai School ground in Dhalai district.
Shah also hit hard at the Marxist Government for failing to implement the recommendations of the 7th CPC. I have come to know that State Government employees are receiving pay package as per the 4th CPC while staff from rest of the country have been receiving 7th CPC pay structure, he said.
Shah declared State Government employees will get 7th CPC pay scales if the party is voted to power. He warned that those who are involved in the Rs 35,000 crore chit fund scam will be sent to jail once BJP forms the government.
Assam Finance Minister Himanta Sarma in his speech said he was sure BJP will form the next government in Tripura. A new dawn will be ushered in as BJP is going to form the next government in Tripura as the people are frustrated with the Marxist rule, he added.
