GUWAHATI, May 18 � The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Guwahati City District Committee has formally launched the Maha Sampark Abhiyan that has been going on across the country.
Launched by BJP chief Amit Shah, this programme of the saffron party is aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
According to a functionary of the BJP, Guwahati City District Committee, this Abhiyan will provide an opportunity to the party to know the issues and aspirations of the masses at the grassroots level.
�We have already conducted a workshop in this connection and now the party leaders will be meeting the newly-enrolled members and motivate them to actively participate in various activities of the party,� said the functionary, adding, the homes of all the new members will be visited. The new members will be apprised of the ideology of the party and encouraged to shoulder responsibility towards the society and the nation.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Guwahati City District Committee has also decided to hold workshops on the Abhiyan in all the nine mandals under it.
