SILCHAR, March 5 - Terming AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal as the �No. 1 enemy of the State and the country,� Himanta Biswa Sarma, coordinator of the State BJP�s Election Management Committee, today said that though the electoral fight would be with the Congress in the ensuing Assembly polls, the BJP would, however, use all its might to defeat Ajmal.
Talking to media persons at the Silchar BJP office, Sarma said that the Congress has no future in the State. He maintained that the main purpose of the contest would be to oust Ajmal from the political arena.
Sarma added that barring the Congress and the AIUDF, the BJP is ready to form a �rainbow alliance� with other political parties in the State.
Targeting AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, Sarma said that Gandhi lacks intelligence and political prudence. �Gandhi boasts of visiting SC and ST families. But will he ever invite anyone from the SC/ST communities to his residence,� he posed.
