BJP set to have best-ever win: Bhattacharyya

By Correspondent

UDALGURI, June 26 The good days the of BJP in Assam and other NE States have started and symptoms of these good days are coming up now. We are all set to have our best-ever win in the next Assembly polls. Mission 84 is just symbolic. A father always dreams that his children score the highest marks in examinations and so we also have a dream would be translated into reality by the conscious people of Assam. This was observed by Siddhartha Bhattacharyya, the president of Assam State committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while talking exclusively to this correspondent here at Udalguri town on June 23.

When asked about the minority policy of the party in the State and its attitude towards the religious minority groups, Bhattacharyya said that the BJP has now a very comfortable relation with most of the religious minority people as the latter have reposed their faith in the goodwill mission of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further said that the continuous entry of people from the minority community in the party was enough to show that BJP was not communal but all those parties, particularly the Congress which was an expert in playing the minority card was more communal than others. We shall have a clean sweep even in the pockets of AIUDF in the next elections, he added.

Ramen Deka, who accompanied the State BJP president, informed this correspondent that the proposal for a stoppage of all trains including Naharlagun-New Delhi AC Express at Udalguri railway station, as demanded by the people of the district, has already been handed over to the Railway Minister and he hoped that Udalguri will soon have a stoppage for the trains.

It is to be noted that Ramen Deka, MP of Mangaldai HPC, Siddhartha Bhattacharyya, president of the Assam State BJP committee, Queen Ojah, spokesperson of BJP Assam State committee and Nilima Deka, secretary of the state committee of the party were here on June 23 to attend the celebrations of one-year-term completion of the NDA Government led by the BJP at the Centre, which was held at the Bishnu Rabha auditorium. In the meeting, 45 leading persons of Udalguri district joined the BJP among whom former Congress MCLA of Paanchnoi Serfang constituency Jitu Kishan, retired ADC Nareswar Upadhyaya of Mazbat, Tiken Upadhyaya, a leading youth leader of Mazbat, Bikram Singh Basumatary, former chairman of Udalguri town committee and Bolendra Brahma, former ABSU leader are prominent.
