BONGAIGAON, June 27 - BJPs State unit general secretary Pulak Borgohain addressed a news conference at Greater Bongaigaon Press Club here on Tuesday and highlighted the successful completion of four-year and two-year term of the party-led governments at the Centre and the State, respectively.

Politics of development had found its way and the politics of corruption, practised by the Congress, ended after the Narendra Modi-led government had assumed power in the country, Borgohain said.

He also said that the Congress government had deprived the poor and the marginalised section of people of getting banking facility during its rule, but the Modi government had helped them to get the opportunity through launching Jana Dhan Scheme.

While addressing a press conference at Kajalgaon in Chirang district, BJPs State leader Queen Oja also talked about the development works carried out by the government.

In a reply to a question, Oja said that legislators of the BTAD are not taking the problems of the local people seriously, because they do not want these people to be unaware of everything so that they (legislators) can manage them easily as per the need. She further said that she would discuss all the public issues of Chirang district with the ministers at Dispur.
