BJP president to visit Tripura on June 18

AGARTALA, June 9 - A day before the Budget Session of the Tripura Assembly, BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the State on June 18, according to party sources. During the visit, Shah will unveil the BJP-IPFT Government�s report card of the first 100 days in a bid to convey to the people the welfare work being done by the ruling combine.

After assuming office as the Chief Minister, Biplab Deb had declared that his Government would prepare a 100-day performance card and accordingly, the council of ministers has been trying to accomplish their assigned tasks on schedule. On June 13, the BJP-IPFT Government will complete 100 days.

Meanwhile, the BJP president will hold a meeting with party leaders to take stock of the political scenario in the State after the BJP-IPFT Government was formed.

The meeting with the party functionaries will be the BJP�s homework for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the party leadership is eyeing both the Lok Sabha constituencies in the upcoming general elections, said a party leader here today.

During the visit, an IPFT delegation is likely to meet Shah to sort out the �battle turf� and other issues including formation of a modality committee to look into the issue of the socio-economic and cultural welfare of the indigenous people.
