TURA, March 24 - Rikman G Momin will be fighting for the Tura Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket after the party decided on his name to take on heavyweights Agatha Sangma of NPP and Dr Mukul Sangma of Congress.
Rikman�s name was chosen from among four names forwarded to the BJP central executive which took the decision to contest the elections despite being part of the ruling coalition in Meghalaya with the NPP.
The announcement of Rikman as candidate came a day after Sanbor Shullai was chosen to fight the Shillong seat. Rikman had earlier contested unsuccessfully for the Rongjeng Assembly seat last year. He is also the State vice president of BJP.
In another development, Adorsho Sangma will be the BJP�s candidate for the Selsella by-elections to be held simultaneously with the MP elections. The final day of filing of nominations is Monday.
