BJP links attacks on NE people with AAP Govt

By Spl CORRESPONDENT

NEW DELHI, March 21 The BJP has today pointed to direct linkage between the increase in incidents of attacks against people from North East as well as foreigners residing in India with the disastrous 49-day rule of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government in Delhi.

Chief Spokesperson of the Delhi BJP Sanjay Kaul said that the current situation is a reflection of the behaviour of the then Law Minister of the AAP Government and his regressive actions against women of foreign origin and the blatant support of the then CM for his Cabinet member on his shocking anti-social behaviour.

The 49 days AAP Government has turned the clock back on womens security in general and the safety of persons from North East in particular. The Law Ministers regressive stance on womens rights and the Chief Ministers shameful defence of his cowardly actions are the basis of the new sense of vulnerability against North East people in Delhi and NCR.

Coordinator North East BJP Manas Deka said that all members of his group admit that people of North East are feeling more vulnerable since the AAP Government came to power.

The BJP will soon organise a cultural event called North East for Modi where new North East voters will be invited to meet and interact with prominent BJP workers.

As reported, the last the event organised to mark the International Womens Day proved to be disastrous for those hailing from the North East.

The State unit of the BJP during the Assembly election had also tried to organise the voters hailing from the NE. The party had held several such meetings exclusively for the people of the NE and also included in its manifesto some promises for the Northeasterners.
