BJP has ruled for nations growth: Adityanath

By A CORRESPONDENT

NAGAON, April 6 - Addressing an election rally at the Hojai Bihutoli field in Hojai district for the BJPs Nagaon Lok Sabha candidate, Rupak Sarmah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that leaders of the Opposition Congress and its allies have ruled only for the benefit of their own families. The BJP, on the other hand, has ruled only for the protection, growth and development of the nation.

Heaping praise on the NDA Government at the Centre and the BJP-led Government in the State, Adityanath claimed that the Modi Government brought back the glory of the nation by attacking the camps of Pakistan-backed terror groups in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Similarly, unabated rhino poaching during the Congress regime in the State has stopped during the tenure of the BJP Government, he maintained. Where there is Modi, everything is possible. The BJP Government led by Modi has ensured protection, safety, equal growth and development of all irrespective of caste, community and religion, and at the same time, it has made India one of the powerful countries of the world, Adityanath added.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also raised questions on the alliance of the Congress with some parties. Adityanath urged the people to vote for Rupak Sarmah in Nagaon and strengthen the hands of Modi in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.

He also paid tribute to Srimanta Sankaradeva, Madhavadeva, Dr Bhupen Hazarika and others who built the foundation of Assamese nationalism. Minister Pijush Hazarika, Rupak Sarmah, the MLAs of Hojai and Lumding, and other party dignitaries were present in the rally.

A PTI report adds: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday alleged that the Congress has entered into an unholy alliance with the Muslim League which was evident from the green flags seen when Rahul Gandhi went to file his nomination in a procession from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala.

Gandhi filed his nomination papers from Wayanad which has a sizeable Muslim population, on Thursday.

A video of Gandhis procession while going to file his nomination at Wayanad has gone viral. It was recorded from a spot that showed green flags of the Muslim League fluttering over the procession.

Gandhi ran away from Uttar Pradesh and filed his nomination from a seat in Kerala. In his procession there was neither the Indian Tricolour nor the Congress symbol hand, but only the Muslim Leagues green flag with stars and moon, he claimed while addressing an election rally at Hojai.

This unholy alliance has exposed the mindset of the Congress. The Muslim League was responsible for the partition of the country and the killing of lakhs of people during that time. Now the Congress has a political alliance with the same party, Adityanath said.

In Assam too, the Congress has entered into an understanding with Badruddin Ajmals AIUDF which is responsible for myriad problems in the State, he alleged.

The Congress has compromised the national security and your security by entering into both these alliances, he told the rally. He asserted that India under Modi has emerged as a global economic power attaining the sixth position from the earlier 11th place under the UPA regime.
