GUWAHATI, May 16 (PTI): The BJP has forged ahead in eight of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam, while the ruling Congress is ahead in two seats, as per trends available till 1 p.m.
The principal opposition AIUDF were ahead in three seats and an Independent in one seat.
The BJP is in the lead in Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Koliabor, Mangaldoi, Nowgong, Tezpur and Gauhati seats.
