BJP flays Govt policy on tackling price rise

NILAMBAZAR, Dec 12 � A meeting of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Karimganj district committee, was held at Karimganj Law College recently to strenghten the party as well as discuss the present situation along the international border fence and the situation arising out of the rise in prices of essential items.

The meeting discussed about the strategies of party for the forthcoming Assembly election of 2011. The meeting expressed grave concern over the communication system in the Karimganj district as well as the slow progress of Broadguage and Moha Sadak construction.

Delivering the lecture, opposition leader of the BJP Legislative Party Mission Ranjan Das criticised the State government�s policy on tackling price rise. He also said that Congress-led State Government has totally failed to control price rise. Das alleged that State government has not given any preference to solve the burning problems of Barak valley.

Attending the meeting, Mriganka Barman, president, State BJYM, Sayantan Bose, observer State BJYM, Joy Shankar Chakraborty and Nirmal Banik delivered lectures on how to strengthen the party.

Later, activists of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha took out a protest rally through the Karimganj town shouting slogans against the State government for not taking measures to solve the burning problem of Barak valley. The activists also demanded early completion of the repairing work of NH 44 and broad guage construction.
