BJP confident of winning 26 seats in BTC elections

UDALGURI, Nov 5 - Senior BJP leaders, including state party president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, national secretary and Mangaldai Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia, and Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, have expressed confidence that the party will win all the 26 seats it will contest in the forthcoming BTC elections.

The three senior leaders and many others held a discussion on the BTC elections at the Circuit House on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the state BJP leaders held a closed-door meeting with party workers and supporters at the conference hall of the Udalguri Municipal Board in the heart of town and directed the party workers to visit voters in their respective places and inform them about the people-friendly schemes of the BJP-led governments. The party leaders also directed the workers to focus on tea garden regions of the BTC.

Talking to media persons, the state BJP leaders said that the party would give its best for the overall development of all communities in the new set-up of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
