Haflong, March 10: Bharatiya Janata Party nominated candidate from 16 Haflong (ST) constituency Nandita Gorlosa filed her nomination in presence of Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council Sri Debolal Gorlosa, Ratan Teron, Prabhari, BJP Dima Hasao, Executive Members, MACs, number of well-wishers and BJP workers.
After filing the nomination, Gorlosa marched through the streets of Haflong from DC office to party office along with huge numbers of her followers wherein CEM, EMS and MACs also took part with slogans like ‘Bharat mata ki jai’, Jitega bhai jitega BJP jitega’ etc.
Answering the questions of the media, Gorlosa said that issues pertaining to the people’s expectation would get priority. The party manifesto would be on the basis of people’s aspiration and expectation.
CEM, Debolal Gorlosa expressed his confidence in winning the 16 Haflong (ST) seat since during the BJP rule in NCHAC, the district of Dima Hasao gained tremendous momentum in development and also established peace in the region.
