UDALGURI, June 16 - Along with other parts of the State, the Jan Sampark Abhiyan was launched in Udalguri district by party workers and supporters of BJP today.
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Pijush Hazarika made a door-to-door visit to the houses of 13 leading citizens of Udalguri town and briefed them about various ongoing and upcoming people-friendly schemes. He also expressed his government�s gratitude to the people for their support and cooperation during the ongoing havoc created by COVID-19 and hoped that the pandemic scare would be over soon. He also distributed leaflets containing report cards of the government.
Later, addressing a press meet held at the party office, Hazarika said that BJP would contest selected 26 seats in the forthcoming BTC elections with full confidence without any pre-poll alliance.
Hazarika also said that the party has been in close touch with all sections of people across the State every now and then and the party targets a huge victory in the next State Assembly elections.
The minister also had a brief meeting with the district administration at the Circuit House and took stock of the corona-related situation in the district.
